mozaBook around the World - Lebanon

21 June 2019 Bálint Mátyás

Collège National Orthodoxe in Tripoli, Lebanon is one of the first schools in the country that has implemented the mozaLearn educational system and the mozaBook presentation software in its classrooms. The IT team of the prestigious school installed mozaBook on interactive smartboards in the classrooms and received instant appreciation from both teachers and students.

What’s more, the media crew of the institution prepared a superb demo video as well, detailing the most important features of the system!

Michel Katra, the principal of the school says,

"As our students are learners of the digital era, we needed a system to make everything much more interactive and engaging for them. The mozaBook software  is a state-of-the-art solution in education and we wanted to be among the first schools in Lebanon to adopt this system.”

While Mr. Kilo (Physics) is enthusiastically explaining that creating electrical circuits and setting various parameters during the lesson with the help of the Elektro Kit has never been easier, one of the Chemistry teachers, Ms. Turkiye noted that the interactive 3D scene collection makes a real difference as it helps students thoroughly understand topics like atoms or atomic bonds.Although mozaBook provides a wide range of possibilities and content for higher grades, Ms. Taoum emphasized the importance and perks of having the interactive board and colorful pencil set on primary and kindergarten levels:

“Using different pencils or our own hands to draw shapes and write letters on the board is a great way to improve the fine motor skills of the pupils''

mozaBook around the World - Vietnam

31 May 2019 Bálint Mátyás

On May 15, the Le Quy Don Secondary School in Ho Chi Minh City organized an event to promote innovative teaching methods in Vietnam with a lesson, called "Atoms - Journey Through Time", attended not only by teachers and students, but heads of education centres, principals, and parents. The unconventional science workshop took place right on the spacious schoolyard utilizing all the advantages that interactive boards, VR glasses and by the courtesy of our local partner, Tung Viet Communication, the mozabook digital presentation software have to offer. The lesson kicked off with a fascinating game where pupils were divided into 8 groups and moved around from station to station with a tablet to explore the secrets of atomic bonds, structures, and learn about famous scientists. Each station was equipped with an interactive board and the mozaBook software to provide the kids with interesting fun facts and useful information about the topic.

Ms. Le Thi Ngoc, a passionate science teacher in the school, says that students can get a grasp of Chemistry or Physics much more easily with special VR (Virtual Reality) glasses and interactive 3D models.“Using the VR glasses and mozaBook, for instance, with my 6th grade students certainly makes things much more fun in the classroom. Instead of learning and teaching only from a textbook, we create our own lessons and make it more interactive. This way we can help students understand the topic and develop a passion for Chemistry at the same time” she said.

The successful educational event in the secondary school was not the first occasion that mozaBook got presented in the Asian country. For the past few months, Tung Viet Communication has been actively engaged with promoting the presentation software in edtech exhibitions, like BESS VIETNAM 2019 and visiting institutions across the country to spread the word about their hardware and our interactive solutions.

It’s always a pleasure to see kids and teachers enjoying mozaBook and we’re delighted to receive similar news and feedback from any part of the world. At Mozaik, we  are certain that the success of these first couple of months has just been the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership in Vietnam.

Winning an award feels amazing, but winning two categories of the same competition feels even better. We are truly honoured to receive some serious recognition at one of the largest and most competitive program in all of education technology, this year’s EDTECH COOL TOOL AWARDS organized by the American EdTech Digest online magazine.Being recognized in the previous years as the best presentation solution and content provider, Mozaik’s long-time prime product, the mozaBook educational software finished first in the category of “Authoring Tools Solution” in 2019. Our webcam-based science software LabCamera, as a relatively new solution among our product portfolio, has never been nominated to the award before, but won the first place in the “Science Solution” category right off the bat.

All of our colleagues and team members who put effort into creating mozaBook and LabCamera extremely happy to see that both teachers and our peers love our software solutions, and awards like this give us an immense motivation to continue the work we started years ago.

On behalf of Mozaik Education, we congratulate to all other finalist and winners! To check out the full list, visit the official website of EdTech Awards.

Mozaik a BETT Awards Finalist in 3 categories

10 November 2018 Bálint Mátyás

The BETT Awards are held in London every year with the most prominent players and stakeholders in education. The judges of the awards are known for their knowledge of ICT educational resources and selected from experienced teachers, education consultants and advisers, and high profile ICT journalists.

While the final ceremony will take place at the Troxy in London on 23rd January, the finalists were announced last week. This year Mozaik got shortlisted in not one, not two, but three different categories so we are truly honoured to get the chance to win it all with LabCamera, Mozaik3D app and mozaBook in 2019.

Our web-cam based science laboratory software, the LabCamera became Finalist in the category of “Classroom Aids for Learning, Teaching and Assessment” which is amazing since it was the first time that we entered Bett Awards with this compact, smart solution. Many of you may already know the program, but for those who haven’t come across or tried LabCamera before, we prepared a short review of the main features here. Kinematics, Motion Cam, Microscope… no matter which area of science you’re teaching, we put everything at your fingertips in one program and we are very thankful for the positive feedback we received from the reviewers.

Mozaik3D app is another first-timer among our products nominated to the award, so we are thrilled that it is running for the title of “Educational Apps” right off the bat. Mozaik3D app is available for Android devices and can be considered as the next step in the evolution of another application, called mozaWeb 3D viewer: all the 1200+ 3D animations in one place, login, subscription, filters, 3D infosheet, and related 3D scenes.Reading about it is also nice, but if you would like to give it a try, please feel free to do so. You can access 5 items per week totally free, without a subscription and the app is freely downloadable from the Google Play Store.

Last, but not least, here is the winner of Academic’s choice, European Business, and EdTech Awards, the mozaBook educational presentation software. After 2016 and 2017, mozaBook got shortlisted in the category of “International Digital Education Resource” again which is, of course, a huge accomplishment for the whole Mozaik team.Only those products can survive in this category which have a proven track record of success in the international education market and able to show evidence that the product has aided teaching and learning in a schools around the world.

Does it provide flexibility to the teacher?

Is it distinctive and innovative?

Does it enable effective learning?

mozaBook certainly does. Let us express how grateful and proud we are that our software is acknowledged as something special and receives recognition not only by our amazing teachers and students, but also from our peers in the education community. The exhibition season just kicked off in mid-October with the Frankfurt Book Fair, but is already in full swing for our crew (Frankfurter Buchmesse, Biblioteka Bratislava, SIMO Madrid). In January, we are returning to exhibit at the largest digital education event in the world, the Bett Show London.

Visit us at Stand F262 to see mozaBook, LabCamera, and Mozaik3D app in action and have a chat about how we can make education better!

Mozaik visits Kazakhstan - S01e05

15 May 2018 Maxim Chigrin

We are really pleased to inform all of our readers that the delegation of Mozaik Education has returned from our latest  trip abroad. This time around we travelled to a quite unique country - Kazakhstan. What really made this journey special was the fact that it was the 5th time the Mozaik crew landed in this amazing Central Asian country. Our six-day visit was packed with different events and venues where we presented our state-of-the-art educational solutions to the public. It all started with Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools (NIS), located in the fabulous city of Almaty. Currently, Kazakhstan is on the verge of big changes in education, which is implied by the shift to the trilingual model of schooling (now pupils are taught Kazakh, Russian and English). NIS already serves as a good example of how such things can be implemented and work in reality.

We were also offered a campus tour in order to take a close look at the school’s infrastructure and it’s safe to say that we were quite impressed by what we had seen and could only wish all schools around the globe were similarly well-equipped. Finally, we gave a presentation about mozaBook and mozaWeb in a huge conference hall to the teachers of the school which was followed by a lively conversation with the participants who were all extremely excited. The next day we were fortunate enough to visit the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University in Almaty, which is one of the leading institutes in Central Asia. Presenting to university experts is also a wonderful opportunity for us to grow as we can also learn a great deal from these visits. At Mozaik we never miss the chance to share not only our experiences, but obtain new ones as well. After our presentation, we also agreed on a mutual cooperation so we are looking forward to hosting a delegation from Abai National University at our headquarters in Szeged, Hungary soon. The highlight of our visit was attending the International and Practical Conference “Modernization of Educational Resources: Experience and Perspectives” organized by the scientific republican educational centre “Uchebnik”. Geographically, Kazakhstan is sandwiched between Russia, China and the Middle East, which is a huge advantage for the country. Combining the best practices from all over the world, Kazakhstan is striving to become one of the largest hubs in various fields of expertise, and obviously, education is no exception.

The two-day event was dedicated to addressing the most problematic and burning issues of today’s education in the area. We think that some of the solutions have already been found within the walls of the Kazakh State Women’s Pedagogical Institute, but of course, further questions are yet to be explored.A big step forward, the memorandum of cooperation signed by the Scientific Republican Educational Centre “Uchebnik”, the Kazakh State Women’s Pedagogical Institute, and Mozaik Education can also be viewed as recognition of our collaboration on bettering education in Kazakhstan over the past few years.Taking into consideration that Hungarians and Kazakhs share bits of their heritage and history, we do not say a final goodbye to this wonderful country, but we just say it for now.

Thank you for the invitation!

We are proud to announce the newest recognition that Mozaik Education was given: on March 15th in Łódź, Poland our company received the diploma for the Best Employers that Create and Support Education in 2017.

Definitely, as with previous awards and recognition, it wouldn’t be possible without people who share the same goal of offering the best quality education to the young: the teachers. We help them by doing our utmost and try to work out the best innovative tools to offer better chances to future generations, but it is in teachers’ hand to use these tools and create magic lesson to attract students’ attention.

Yet, one thing remains to be unveiled: this time the recognition is even more precious to us as the nomination came not only due to our outstanding products, but it is up to schools to recommend employers and companies who are collaborating with them while working for the good of education.

Thus this entry is to praise all the teachers and schools making our world a better place – and point at one among them in particular.

Let me shortly sketch the background of the story.

Some months ago the idea appeared at Mozaik to cooperate even closer with schools and give a couple of chosen institutions in different countries opportunity to live mozaLearn experience to the fullest, while creating referential points for other schools around the world; that is how Mozaik Partner School project came to life and started to sprout out. Nowadays we are fruitfully collaborating with different schools here and there – one of them being  King Stephen Báthory Primary School No. 5 in Łódź.

Our Polish partners have been actively spreading the good word about mozaBook and the best practises while using our software suite. Their activities have quickly gone beyond their basic scopes and left their own school’s walls as they have become our best ambassadors in Poland. Apart from their every day classroom teaching and numerous other projects they take part in, they have visited us at our training center in Szeged twice so far to gain thorough knowledge of mozaLearn solutions. As they became expert of our digital solutions, they have held their own mozaBook trainings for teachers from other schools and collaborated in the organisation of the most recent Weekend with ICT event of Łódż Teachers’ Training Centre Łódż Teachers’ Training Centre

Furthermore, they write articles on mozaLearn solutions in the trade press, constantly send us feedback and proposals resulting from everyday usage of our solutions.

Simply, we can’t think of any better partners….

Thank you all down there for your unceasing work and continuous enthusiasm, we are really happy to have you on board.

In the photo below you can glimpse the headmistress of the King Stephen Bathory School, Ms. Anna Marciniak (first left) taking over the prize at the award ceremony last month.

Thank you Anna and your whole team! Let the power be with you! Mozaik is firmly standing with you there in the front line paving the way for modern education.
