The Anatomy and Development of Plants
The Anatomy and Development of Plants
Just like animals, plants are made of tiny units, called cells. Cells form tissues, which in turn form organs. The organs carry out various tasks. The organs that are responsible for keeping the plant alive are the root, the stem and the leaves. These are called vegetative organs. Plants reproduce by means of flowers, fruits, seeds or spores.
